This is a layout for a "SCALE (weighing machine)" that is installed on a stage where the stage is setup as to cover the packaging machine.
It is structured so that after a set weight of the products is weighed, it drops directly down from the scale to the packaging machine.
It is the simplest layout since there is no need for a conveyor between the scale and the packaging machine.
Although the floor space for installation is small, the height requirement is quite significant.
Supply Conveyor typeCharacteristics
This is a supply layout where a scale is installed behind or on the side of a packaging machine. A Supply conveyor is connected in between them and products that are measured to a set weight by the scale are transported to the packaging machine.
Generally, the supply conveyor used is one with buckets lined up however, in some cases a conveyor with a cleat (partition) is used.
The advantage is that it can be installed in a work room with a low ceiling. However, the installation space will take space lengthwise and cleaning and maintenance of the supply conveyor with dozens of buckets will be time consuming. For this reason, for easy washing, our conveyor can be equipped with a water injector for washing and an air blower to blow-dry moisture and blow away any residue after washing. By using this device, washing can be done by rotating the conveyor and without removing the buckets. (However, this is just a simple washing method and depending on the products, more intricate cleaning such as washing the buckets by hand and sterilization may be necessary.)
On the conveyor feed side, a scale does not have to be connected and products can be “fed manually”.
Direct loaded typeCharacteristics
This is a scale equipped with a weighing hopper where vibration is applied to a linear plate trough and the products upon it move forward a little at a time until they fall down at the edge.
When the desired weight has been reached, the vibration on the trough will stop and the products will no longer fall down. Multiple troughs can be connected (3, 4, etc.) to increase the capacity.
The structure is simple and easy to use but it is intended more for granular items and individual packages that are small and if used for products that are individually heavy, it will always surpass the desired weight and worsen the yield rate.
Direct loaded type(AUGER FILLER)Characteristics
This is a supply device for filling fine powders.
With vertical pillow packaging machines, a process that drops the product is used and when fine powders are used in this process, the product is expelled into the air and cannot be filled with stability. For this reason, it is necessary to force feed the fine powder with a screw and the Auger Filler screw is put through the former pipe of the packaging machine to feed the product.
Direct loaded type(VOLUMETRIC SCALE:VOLUMER)Characteristics
This does not measure weight but instead measures volume.
The multiple "cups" on the circumference of the turntable are completely filled with product on after another and sequentially the bottom covers are opened pouring out the product contents.
This device is mainly intended for "granular items" and cannot be used for products with large complicated shapes.
Compared to automatic weighing machines, it is inexpensive. However, since it does not precisely measure weights, discretion must be used when displaying accurate weights.
